PAST PROJECTS

I have been lucky and had an exciting and eventful career. I studied architecture at Oxford Brookes, then Oxford Polytechnic, and gained a double first and the final year prize. Later I took a diploma in Urban Design and carried out a major study of London's Docklands.

From early beginnings as an architect with Stone, Toms and Partners in Mayfair, London, where I was the youngest Associate ever appointed, I became Staff Architect and then Associate Partner at Richard Ellis, and have a number of prestigious office buildings in London to my name.

I became Building Director of Heron Property Corporation in 1988 and was responsible for project managing over £400m of commercial developments, working with Gerald Ronson for over two years, something of a record.

I then became project director of Brookmount PLC and following this had my own property company with Crispin Auden FRICS - Walden Properties, before I became a director of Sovereign Land

The project which I am most proud to have been associated with is Mermaid Quay in Cardiff, developed and project managed with my old friends and colleagues, Tim Binnington and Graeme Newman at Sovereign Land. This was innovative, entrepreneurial and beautifully designed by Benoy, architects.

And it shows what a small and hard working team can do!
